Intention setting is an important practice of mine. As we arrive at the midpoint of 2020 I am creating space to return to my intentions for this year. I am finding this practice particularly fruitful because of the unexpected nature of 2020 in order to reflect and re-set how I would like to live out the remainder of this year.
I would like to invite you to practice with me by considering these questions.
What is your goal or intention for this year?
How are you living out this intention?
How is your intention giving your life purpose, meaning, and value?
After reflecting on these questions:
Are you feeling a new goal or intention arising for the remainder of this year?
What are you doing to support this intention? What are your external supports? What are your internal supports? What do you need?
How does your intention support you living out your purpose for this life?
My purpose for this life is to be a channel of love in this world. To support my purpose, in my classes this month I am exploring the four heart practices of Buddhism, or the Brahma Viharas. They are Loving Kindness, Compassion, Sympathetic Joy and Equanimity. We will be spending one week on each of these practices. Please join me in this practice of returning to the heart. Re-set yourself with kindness and compassion to begin again welcoming 2020 anew with equanimity and joy.
Thank you for supporting me to do my work in this world. It is a joy to be with you and hold space for you. Please let me know how I can better support you to live out your intentions for this life.
In love and gratitude,
